Is this normal? 9 month old shaking head

Hi and thanks for reading
I have a 9 month old son who does a strange head shaking movement, it rocks his whole body (its quite hard to describe), it's almost like he swishes his head back and forth, he does it quite a lot and I'm not sure if this is normal? I've had a few people say this is typical of children with ASD and now I am terrified.
Other things he does :
Not a cuddly baby at all, constantly pushing to get away, will push your face away with his hand if holding him.
Never. Stops. He won't chill or just sit, he always has to be on the move, crawling standing etc, will play with one toy briefly then he's off. I can hold him for about a minute before he wants to be off again.
When you hold him to your face he avoids eye contact, but the rest of the time eye contact is not an issue.
Rolls his eyes, quite often when he's shaking his head.

Does anyone have any experience they could lend? Thank you

My first thought was earache...

Has he always done it? Or is it a new thing?

Yes, the head shaking thing is really normal. All 3 of mine have done it. The wanting to move thing also completely normal. If someone got in my face, I’d avoid eye contact with them too.

I’ve seen your other threads. No one is diagnosing a 9 month old with autism. You need to take some deep breaths, step back and stop looking for things that are, in all likelihood, simply not there.

My son had a head shaking "thing" going on when he was about that age, he is nearly six now. His head shaking was like a tic, where he would shake his head back and forwards. We took him to his doctor, who referred him to a paediatric neurologist, and they did an EEG. Everything was fine, and he was diagnosed with acid reflux.
I am not sure what our doctor was looking for but I remember at the time he said it was vital to get it checked out as soon as possible, so it might not be a bad thing to talk to the GP about it.
