We lost our 4th baby two weeks ago to a MMC at 9 weeks. Since then my grieving process has been added to as DP won't try again so this one is a lot harder to get through than our previous losses, which were hard enough.
I wake every night at 3/3:30am and lie wide awake with my mind going into a spin and just feeling completely broken. It generally takes me a good two hours to fall back to sleep or I don't at all. This has been fine whilst I've been recovering at home as I have been able to nap, but I started back at work on Monday and have to be up at 5:15am to commute in. So, essentially I've been up since 3am yesterday and today. I don't think I can function on such little sleep for much longer.
I've tried Phenergan (prescribed by GP). I still woke up but went back to sleep fairly quickly. They gave me the most horrific headache the next day though so I gave up after two nights usage.
I decided to go natural and tried valarian drops for several nights which taste vile and don't seem to work at all.
Can you recommend anything else? My sister said to try an eye mask so I have ordered one.
