Don't even know what to say exactly but I'm in hospital with my DD3, it's our first night here. She's never been this ill, and has barely ever been ill since she's been born. So far getting loads of tests done, doctors not exactly sure why the high temperatures. I feel so sorry for her and just can't do anything about it. I'm also 34 weeks pregnant and terrified. All I want is for her to be okay and to go home with her but looks like we'll need to stay at least few days 😢

I hope your little one feels better, it's very worrying when they are ill, but stay strong. Have they told you anything so far. Can you record what they say and make notes?
Pls make sure you are eating and drinking. Do you have family who can bring some snacks for you? Best wishes to your LO

Oh bless you. I have had far too many stays in hospital with DD. We were even blue lighted in on one occasion.

Please be assured that they will be doing their best to find out what is wrong with your DD and to get her well again. Have they dip tested her urine to check for a urine infection?

I hope she feels better soon Flowers

How long has she been sick? What are the symptoms?

Thank you all for replies!
She seemed to have a cold along with a temperature couple of weeks ago, were giving her nurofen syrup as advised by doctor, eventually temperature went away.
Now since Tuesday she's had really high temperature, goes down after syrup and couple of hours later goes straight back up. Got little bit blocked nose, don't know if that's to do with temperatures. Doctors have taken urine samples, bloods but so far nothing. Originally they mentioned kidneys but not sure now, tomorrow more tests. She also doesn't want to eat anything or drink but I'm trying to get in as much liquid as possible. It's so so horrible to watch your baby be ill 😢

I’m by no means an expert but I do think it’s a good sign her temp is going down after medicine. How old is your DD? What is leading the doctors to believe it’s something more than a viral infection or something similar? Does she have other symptoms?

Hey, hope you managed some sleep with your little one. They really keep us on our toes. Hopefully you'll both have a better day today and maybe get some answers x

Thanks so much for replying everyone!
They took more bloods this morning and did an ultrasound of kidneys which look clear. Later today they'll be checking throat / nose for polyps.
High temperatues and cold sweat through the night again

Hope you’re doing, I’m in with my daughter as well. Sounds like it could be flu, has she had her flu vaccination?

Thanks. Still no answers. Temperature drops right down through the day but at night goes straight back up. Also she's started snoring soooo bad last few nights but doesn't have a runny nose.. Don't know if it could be anything to do with that, have mentioned it to doctors.
She hasn't had her flu vaccinations but I suppose blood /urine tests would show that?!
