Upset stomach every three days

My LG, 10 months, has been having a recurring upset stomach.
Sunday 28th - one massive vomit
Nothing Monday or Tuesday
Wednesday - massive vomit in the early hours, massive vomit at bed time.
Nothing Thursday or Friday
Saturday - diarrhoea
Nothing Sunday or Monday
Tuesday - diarrhoea
At this point we went to the Dr who said probably a bug, off you go.
Nothing Wednesday or Thursday
Friday (last night) - diarrhoea!!!

Her wind had got really stinky (and there's lots of it!)

She is teething, but has already got five teeth and had nothing like this with those.
She has got a snotty nose but again, has had plenty of those without it affecting her poo.

She is fine in herself except waking up in the night with wind/diarrhoea when it strikes.

She eats well (I think--ftm so only have her to go on) and still has plenty milk (formula). We haven't introduced anything new into her diet or changed her milk. Don't think there is any food that links the bouts of poorliness

Mostly seems to strike over night, which is killing us sleep-wise

Sorry for the long post but wanted to give as much information as possible.

Any ideas?! Anyone experienced anything similar?!

It's driving me mad as we're missing all her groups that she loves going to, plus I'm going back to work in a month and she will be in nursery but they'll just send her home if she's like this 😣

There are bugs that can act like this.

But my first thoughts reading this (and it's based my own experience so biased !) Is a possible intolerance to a food. Dairy in particular can irritate the digestive system especially after a tummy bug and is often a temporary issue.
If it doesn't settle speak to Dr again and also your Health Visitor if they are helpful.
But hope it disappears and your DD is well very soon.

My son has had a bug like this before but he was older, i can't remember the days now but for example it went like this diarrhea and puked on Tues, fine Wed, Thurs and frid, puked on Saturday, Sunday diarrhea. We went to the doctors and they said it was just a bug. If it's her first time ever having a stomach bug then it can really affect the gut for a long time because their immune system is so immature at dealing with it and also as pp has said diary can really affect the tummy after a bug and irritate it so I would avoid cheese and the like and obviously she is still on formula but maybe just reduce the size of bottles she's taking for a few days.

Thanks both, guess it's just a waiting game!
