Just found this on Ds arm putting his pajamas on. Just wondering if I should send him to school tomorrow or need to go to the drs. Hes 6 I can only find this one, it does not seem itchy. It's 6:30pm in Oz so nowhere open now.

It looks like a bite to me. I have a few horsefly bites on my leg at the minute that look just like that.

No it doesn’t look like impetigo to me, far too round and ‘uniform’. DD1 has had it. Could it be a bite or something? I’d probably take him to the pharmacy first thing and see what they suggest.

Could be a tick bite possible Lyme disease, would definitely get a doctor to look at it.

If you were in the UK. I'd say that looks more like a tick bite. With bullseye ring.
It's not impetigo.
Could something have bitten him?

We do have ticks here and we live on a cattle farm so we do get them. I don't think there is a tick in there now, there is no body or legs sticking out from it but you are right it does look similar. I have asked him low long he has had it and he said 2 days!

It could be a spider bite I suppose, he says he didn't feel anything bite him though

Not at all.
It’s a bullseye rash.
I’d get your DC in to have that looked at by the GP and do ask for a course of antibiotics to start asap. Amoxicillin tends to be the go-to antibiotic in this case.

Ah - just seen your time zone. Well, as soon as possible will have to do.

It looks like a rash, but not a bullseye rash - that has a mark the centre, surrounded by a ring of ‘normal’ coloured skin, then surrounded by a red ring - like three rings on a dartboard.

He had a tick last year on his scalp. I killed the tick with some freeze spray but could not get it out. The next day we took him to the Dr but he was not interested in removing it. Said it was dead and would come out on its own ( and then charged us $80) It was a cattle tick not a paralysis tick.
