My teething nightmare

Just wondered if anybody had a miracle cure for teething... no...
well I'll settle for new ideas.
So far I've tried bonjela, paracetamol, ibuprofen, cold/hard/soft things to chew (he hates it all including food), teething granules. He's not really eating or sleeping at the moment. I can't seem to get the right combination for pain relief. Anyone tried anything that they swear by? Please help!!

Have you tried anbusol? That was brilliant when my little boy was teething bad. I still use it time to time whilst his back ones come through

Sorry to hijack the post op, it’s tough going and and I’m also prepping an emergency kit for this very thing just now!
Can anyone tell me is it the anbesol gel (like bonjela type teething gel) or is it an anbesol liquid?
I’ve heard folk mention both and I’m never very sure which one is best. Thanks.

Anbesol liquid and alternate Calpol with Nurofen. Lots of frozen things to eat, like fruit or yoghurt etc. For some babies, teething is absolutely horrific! Teething toys can go in the fridge and plenty of distraction.

I will definitely try anbesol! At this point I'll try anything. Can you get it in boots?
It's funny because I have 2 older kids and they never had this much trouble with their teeth.

You can get it in boots but it's behind the counter so you have to ask for it.

I've had two bad teethers. Our routine for the top teeth that have just come through for DC2 was give have both ibuprofen and calpol at bedtime, a 2nd dose of calpol 4 hours later and of ibuprofen 6 hours later (obviously delayed if she didn't wake up). If she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep before then, we used anbesol. Daytime I'd give anbesol first and if that didn't work add alternate calpol and ibuprofen, but we just couldn't get her to settle at night unless we gave both simultaneously. We've found once the teeth break through the surface they seem to stop hurting very quickly - her 2nd top tooth came through Saturday and we are already completely off painkillers.

We found the top front teeth the worst with DC1 so I'm hoping the same is true of DC2!
