Lump on back of hrad

Hi I have just noticed a hard lump on the back of my daughters head, just a few inches behind her ear underneath her hair. I have checked the other side and there is nothing there.

It's about 1cm in size and hard like bone

Could this be a lymph node?

Probably, I get these lumps occasionally and they are quite tender if prodded, but hard. They disappear though after about a week. There are lymph modes in that area.

I have an appointment with the gp this morning at 11am. Really concerned about this. The lump is hard and hasn't gone down since last night and she hasn't bumped her head.

Myself and my husband separated this weekend too so this makes things even harder to deal with. Do you think they will send her for an x ray?

I've seen the gp and she said that it's absolutely fine and nothing to be concerned about. She said it's either a gland that's up or muscle intrusion.

She said that if it was her children, she wouldn't even look at it for at least a few weeks and that it could be there forever if it's just a muscle intrusion.

Would that put your minds at rest?

Hi. My 6 month old had a lump at the bottom left side of her head not to far from her ear. I was terrified, took her to drs and she was not concerned at all, she told me it was a swollen gland and these can take several weeks even a month or so to go down.
