What are these marks on DD's skin? Pic included

My DD (2.5) has these small marks all over her body but mainly on her thighs/upper arms and shoulders. From a distance they look like spots but they are more like dry skin. Rough to the touch. I've noticed them over the last couple months and thought it was eczema but they seem to be getting worse. They are most apparent after a bath.

I've tried aveeno, diprobase and Dream Cream (From Lush) but they don't seem to be getting any better. I've noticed her itching a lot more too.

Could it just be dry skin? Anything else I could try on her? We now only bath every other night.

I couldn't get her to stay still long enough for clear pics but hopefully you get they idea.

They do look like eczema patches. However, I've had tiny fungal patches like that as well. I'd get it checked out at the pharmacy.

Well, actually I'd try a bit of hydrocortisone to see what happened, but I don't know if it's recommended!

I do have a mild steroid cream I have used on her neck before where she gets more typical eczema, but there are so many of these little areas her whole body would end up covered in it!!

Looks like it could be guttate psoriasis- I have it and it flares up from time to time. Took ages for the doc to diagnose it as it's not that common, but a good steroid cream (dovobet) clears it up quite quickly. Worth asking gp if that's what it is, but it sounds like it from your description.

Could it be ringworm? In the second photo one looks ring shaped.

My DD1 had a rash a bit like this 2 weeks ago on her torso, I was told it was a skin infection. She was prescribed antibiotics (which she reacted to.....)

Discoid eczema I think. Your GP should be able to help if you've tried and failed with some OTC emollients.

I have psoriasis and I get these sometimes. Is there a history of that in the family?

Thank you - will look all this up.

Have googled ring worm and t actually looks very similar Confused but would it last for months if that's what it was? She does go swimming every week so exposed to public changing rooms, and we do have a dog.

They've never seemed to weep or ooze fluid, but are itchy

My daughter gets similar looking..she had had guttate psoriasis a couple of times and now gets isolated spots that look very similar.

Don't think it's ringworm. That is usually one or two larger patches rather than lots of small patches all over.

It looks very similarly to a post viral rash I developed after a flu like virus a couple of years ago. If it is a post viral rash it'll go on its own eventually, mine took around three months to completely clear.

I can't really remember what they look like, but just in case, molloscum contagiosum?
