My four years old daughter goes to nursery 9 am to 3:30 pm then to after school sessions 3:30 pm to 6 pm. My next door neighbour brought her in the morning and collected her in the evening this week while I recover nasty gastritis. However, this evening, he was informed my daughter has been complaining she was in pain when passing urine. He called me before leaving the school to tell me. I called our surgery straight away, but despite being promised a doctor will call back before 6:30 pm. No call was made, and I was already informed there is no appointment left for tomorrow. I carried a urinary test on a urine sample, and my daughter has a very nasty infection. She is in pain, and all I could do was to give her hot Himalayan salt bath, Neurofen, cranberry juice and vitamin C fruits (Strawberries, clementines), plenty water and taking her to the toilet every 30 minutes checking for blood in her urine since the urine test showed blood is present.
I am very upset with her school not calling me before 6 pm to inform me of my daughter's discomfort and pain.

Am I overreacting? Have you any advice to help my four years old daughter until the GP get back to us?
