It's been about three months now (she's only ten months old) I know it's that time of year, but the cough is now waking her up, and she also has a floppy larynx so makes her a bit worse. She's had an occasional high temp treated at home with calpol and of course some of this has been down to teething so not overly worried.

She seems OK in herself. When would you take her to the doctor, if at all?

My lo has/had (she's just grown out of it) a floppy larynx too and it makes it so hard to judge their breathing as it always sounds bad. I've always erred on the side of caution and taken each time I was worried. Larynx makes them more prone to respiratory infections as they can't clear their secretions so well. Mine also has had back to back colds all winter and been hospitalised several times needing oxygen - winter is just hard on little ones and they can never fully recover.
That being said, I think I would take her to gp now about the cough. I'd be worried if she was maybe a bit wheezy and could benefit from bronchial dilatators (inhalers), esp if the cough is only at night.

Thank you. I have made her an appointment for the morning. Spoke to a doctor this evening who said they'd be best seeing her and hopefully it'll just be for reassurance.
