What are these blisters? Help!

DS (6) came home one day last week with spots on his hand (hadn't noticed them before & he hadn't pointed them out). They looked like the pic on the left (pic not very clear but they're on the side of his hand, just along from his thumb).

He'd been a bit grumpy for a few days prior & complaining of a sore tummy & throat so thought they might be hand foot & mouth & expected more spots to erupt. Well there's been no more spots & apart from a bit of a cold, he's been OK in himself.

The 2nd pic I took about 4 days after the original pic & the spots seem to be kind of drying out, but still there (he also knocked them on something so think that's contributed the redness). He says it's not itchy but a bit sore. But he said it's just since he knocked it.

Anyone have any ideas what they look like? Like I said, I initially thought H,F & M but with that being the only area, I'm not so sure. The only similar things coming up are Impetigo & Molluscum Contagiosum

TIA

Hand foot and mouth for sure.

I get it (work with kids and crap immune system) and when I do it's always in the same place- bottom of fingers both hands.

Hand foot and mouth. Clinpox for the skin, ice cream for the mouth ulcers. And pray you don't get it - it's absolutely hideous getting it as an adult. I was in so much pain and still have ulcers weeks on :(

Thanks for the replies. Weird that there's just a few on his hand but thankfully they're not in his mouth so hoping he won't get any there now.
