touch screen computer are un-hygienic. Just took DGC;s to Mac for breakfast. The one nearest to us has recently been refurbished and has a table with four touch screen computers for kids to amuse themselves whilst eating.
Watching the kids use them though, one could not help wondering that these kids are pressing the screen, then eating food with fingers then eating again, then along come some other kids and do the same.
I cannot help thinking about the germ transference form the computers. Kids going to the toilet and using them. At no point did one any member of staff clean them and I was in there for a good half an hour and during that time the computers change hands/fingers three times. Seriously couldn't help thinking YUK!!
Next time visit will take anti bacterial wipes, so that they can be cleaned before DGC's go on them.

I was going to say surely no worse than touching the table tops. But if they aren't wiped between uses then yes I see your point- a bit grim.

We were in there the other day, staff regularly wiped down the tables and those screens so I wouldn't be too worried. McDonald's have excellent food hygiene standards by all accounts.

You can always put serviettes down on tables tops so that food/table contact is reduced.

But I bet all of our DC have been in a soft play/ball pool.

They are far worse.

I'm not to fussed on things like the McDonald's screen germs tbh. I think there's too much antibacterial washes etc around and our bodies becoming weaker from it. Germs make us stronger and improve our immune system
