Mumsnetters aren't necessarily qualified to help if your child is unwell. If you have any serious medical concerns, we would urge you to consult your GP.

Come on wise mumsnetters, please suggest the best products to get rid of nits on boy's short hair. He's never had them before and is wriggler!!

Hedrin once, two applications 7 days apart.
Nitty gritty every other day until long after you think the are all gone.

In Scotland you get the nitty gritty comb and the Hedrin both free on minor ailments.

Longer term, my friend recmmends a scoosh of water with a drop of tea tree oil each day before school. Keeps the blighters away, apparently.
