Lump above jawline in 12 year old

Hi, my 12 yr old son came home from school yesterday complaining of a lump on his face. It's not visible but it's about the size of a marble. Don't think is a lymph node as it's about 1cm above the jawline close to the corner of his mouth. Can't see or feel it from the inside of his mouth but it's movable. Can't get him into the doctors until Wednesday but I'm worried sick. It was sore yesterday and thats how he noticed it, but not sore today. Any ideas anyone? Google search seems to all be lumps near the ear, which this isn't. Thanks
