Wondering if anyone has had this? I've never heard of it. Dd 5 has had spots on him for the last few days. We just thought they were pimples but someone from childish said it every chicken pecs. Anyway, the doc said staph infection and we are very on antibiotics and a cream. The only thing is, now we have noticed in the last few hours it has started spreading to his ear and now his lip. He has taken the first antibiotic dose and applied the cream to the spots.

Is this normal? Do I need to go back to the doc? The doc said 3 to 5 days away from other kids.

Thanks any help

You'll see from this that it's not a single thing, OP, but one of a number of conditions but, essentially, a skin condition caused by bacteria. Hence the antibiotics. If you've just begun the treatment then just keep on with it and give it a chance to work. If you were nearing the end of the course of treatment and the condition was getting worse, then I would see the doc again.
