Irritable hip syndrome - pain travelling to arm?

My son has been diagnosed with irritable hip syndrome after having a virus/bacterial infection. He spent the last 24 hours in lots of pain in his thighs and completely unable to walk. Then after repeated ibuprofen woke up this morning as if it hadn't even happened, he's walking normally!!

However, he now had a sore arm and won't use it. There's no way he's hurt it doing anything. So my question is whether anyone knows about whether irritable hip syndrome can travel to different limbs?!

Bumping, this has now moved to his arms, he's completely paralysed when ibuprofen wears off (4 his after taking, 4 hours before he can take more)

Anyone's child had this ? I need some reassurance!!
