6yo feeling sick nearly all the time

DS2 complains that he feels sick nearly all the time, though he hasn't been since this began (several months ago). At first I thought it was anxiety related, but the thing I thought he was worried about passed with no change.

The GP suggested constipation and he has been on Movicol for about 10 days but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. I have asked if there are any times of day when it's worse, or better, but he is only 6 ...

He is otherwise bright and breezy with energy and a good appetite. He doesn't behave like someone who feels sick!

Wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar, and if you ever got to the bottom of it?

if you constantly feel off then you kind of get used to it and do carry on as if there's nothing.

how does he look. pale? dark circles under eyes? do his stools look normal?

He's always been on the pale side, and stools seem normal.

My DD had occasional stomach ache and said she had reflux quite a lot. Otherwise energetic and fine. Asked for a blood test for coeliac (is in the family) and it was positive. Turned out she also had low iron levels when the blood tests came back (probably from the coeliac as better now) but doctor hadn't suspected as she wasn't tired and not pale under her eyelids.

Thanks for your replies. Under eyes looks normal, but I will ask for a blood test when I go back. There is Crohns in the family.

Just keep in mind dairy intolerance too. My friend's son was around that age when he started to complain about feeling sick and stomach ache. They thought it was anxiety for several months - turned out to be dairy intolerance.

That's interesting sunny, may be the next thing to try.

Also one of the early symptoms my ds showed with type 1 diabetes. Ask for a dip test at the gp, only takes a second, and as it is an autoimmune disease like Crohns, it would be worth checking.

Looks like I should have been more patient - continued used of movicol seems to be sorting the problem. Thanks for your advice though everyone.
