Hello.
Is it possible for a still in nappies 2.5 yr old little girl to have cystitis?
She's had an on/off temp since yesterday morning (39), periods of irritability but normal chirpy self and today crying and wiggling and fumbling with her nappy saying it's sore.
She had a slightly strong urine smell on Friday but a one off. She drinks well and drinks water mostly, cup of squash at evening meal and milk at bedtime.
Earlier nappy change her bottom and vagina look fine, no redness or soreness. No offensive smell.
I generally don't just give anti pyretics if just a temp, but she seemed so upset that I gave ibuprofen earlier to which she responded well.
Is there anything else I could give her to possibly ease symptoms?
I'd rather not trip off to the GP to be told 'it's a virus' although I will if it's strongly suspected and advised.
Many thanks.
