Hi,

My ds has been saying his mouth is sore for a couple of days. He's also kicked and screamed when I've brushed his teeth and been off his food.

I managed to get him to open his mouth enough to let me look tonight with a little torch and I can see white on the inside of his cheek.

I'm guessing thrush? It didn't look like an ulser unless it's an old one.

I opted to put a bit of daktarin on if rather than bonjela, will have a look again in the morning.

Any other ideas?

He may have bitten his cheek this and has an ulcer in the area that would cause the pain you describe. The area swells and makes chewing difficult. Healing will appear white. Thrush is unusual in children unless they are immunosuppressed.
