Possibly TMI...but I can't work out what this is!

Apologies in advance if TMI...but there's no delicate way to put this!
My 8mo DD keeps sharting!! She sits down, pushes, a humongous fart comes out followed by the most horrendous smell (far worse than her usual poo smell!), and her nappy contains a small amount of liquid poo!
She's not eating or drinking anything different to normal, nor is her temperature high, and she doesn't appear to be ill in anyway Confused
Any ideas?!

Keep a food diary in case of an intolerance and one type of food is causing this.

Or is she constipated? And the liquid poo is like working round the hardened poo/stool.

Be worth a check at the doctors.

Thanks for the reply Pancake

My initial thought was constipation because she's suffered with it more or less since birth...but she's doing perfectly normal, squishy poos twice a day, regular as clockwork!
I'm lactose intolerant, but she's never appeared to have a problem with dairy products since we started weaning, so I didn't think it was that either Confused
I'll see how it goes tomorrow, and if it's still happening, then I'll pop to the dr and see if I can get some answers.
She did it again late this afternoon. There was the usual big fart and horrendous smell, but only the tiniest bit of poo, looked more like a skid mark on her nappy than anything

DD did this for a while at about 12 months, she just grew out of it.
