Dd is 4 and every winter she has had croup/ night coughs. She was prescribed a blue and brown inhalers last year - not diagnosed asthmatic, but given inhalers.
She's had a cough for a week or so but I put this down to reception class being a germ factory and we started the blue inhaler as necessary.
Last night she started a nighttime cough which was very dry and kept her awake/ woke her up repeatedly until about 10 when she crashed out. We have now started onthe brown inhaler again too and she's had some glycerine cough medicine too. But she's still coughing for a few seconds every 3-5 minutes. She nods off to sleep then the cough wakes her, or she coughs through in her sleep.
Does this sound like asthma?
Is there anything else I should be doing?
Ongoing to try and get a Gp appointment ASAP but that's not always easy.
Fwiw she's been fine all day and happy as Larry.
