Illness that goes quickly

Anyone else's child suddenly develop a cough, high fever at almost 39.5/40, fast breathing, working hard to breathe, pale and tired. Then with one dose of calpol before bed and a full nights sleep, wake up completely fine as if nothing happened?
The amount of times we have almost taken DD to the hospital because she suddenly gets that I'll, only to quickly perk up by the morning, seems odd.

It is normal. Perhaps best to wait and see if temp doesnt settled after paracetamol within 3-4 hrs, then you should be thinking abt taking her to hospital.

Settling temp means less than 38. It seems u need to visit a doc.

Her temp has now gone. We went to GP who was happy her chest was clear but ears were red so prescribed x2 bottles of antibiotics unmade, so we could make them up if she suddenly got worse. However the cough has gone too but she is just so tired, pale and emotional. Constant tears, not wanting to walk upstairs or just be carried. Something must be bothering her.
