DS2, 14, tho pre-pubescent, prone to eczema, dry skin; told me, under duress yesterday that the skin on the underside of his testes is itching like mad. Not a good look. (Hence my enquiry!!).

Allowed me a privileged look this evening! But- chicken or egg? A small area of torn, slightly weepy skin (less than an old half penny-sized), but either because he's scratched it, or so irritating he had to scratch it?

Either way, do I get hydrocortisone cream? Can I get that without prescription? Anti-fungal (less convinced)?

TIA

Have you/has he tried something simple like savlon?

try something to moisturise the area, like diprobase/ double base/ hydromol. not hydrocortisone. you can't apply it enough.

OK, we'll try Savlon and diprobase!
