Mumsnetters aren't necessarily qualified to help if your child is unwell. If you have any serious medical concerns, we would urge you to consult your GP.

We have had a scary week with dd, aged 3.5 admitted to hospital after GP rang an ambulance for a non blanching rash. Initially treated for meningitis. Now we have a diagnosis of HSP. Dd still on antibiotics and seems to take one step forwards and one back.

After 24 hours with no further rash and vascilitis I thought we were getting somewhere but tonight we have more vascilitis and very swollen painful ankles.

Community nurses only took out Iv line 48 hours ago and still on oral antibiotics for an unknown infection. Throat swab taken late Thursday and will get result Monday.

How has HSP effected your children and is there light at the end of the tunnel ?
