Getting neurotic about couple of paler patched on son's forearm!

My teenage son has a couple of patches on his forearm that are a bite paler in colour. As I get very anxious about health I've become a bit obsessed by it and am really annoying him looking at his arm all the time! My main worry is vitiligo but he was at the dermatologist due to something else and I mentioned it but she wasn't concerned. Now I wish I had asked her more questions. Anyone noticed this on themselves or kids to reassure me it can be normal. Thanks

Hi, My daughter age 8 now had this last year. She saw a dermatologist specialist and they said it is 'eczema pityriasis alba'. It shows up more if she has been in the sun alot so I make sure to put a lot of sun cream. She had some on her face and some on her arms. It is gone at the moment.

People live normal lives with vitiligo, it's not that big a deal.
