My oldest daughter had chicken pox 2 and a half weeks ago then exactly 2 week's later my other 3 have got them. My youngest who is 5 mths old is covered but she is so tiny. What can I use on her she is only 13lbs now. My placenta had failed so she was born very tiny. I have been using aqueous calamine cream and bathing her 2-3 times a day in cool bath with calamine lotion in and a drop of dettol. My others are fine as I am using vitasoothe on them and it's a life saver. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated x

Bicarb in the bath is very soothing. You can also put oats in an old sock/tights and hold it under the tap as you run the bath which gives the water a soothing effect. I would stay clear of calamine lotion - it is drying and makes the skin itchy.
I would ring the GP and see if there is an antihistamine that would be suitable. My DCs found piriton syrup very good, but she is probably too small for that without medical advice.

I'll give the baths a try I've rang my docs and they just keep telling me that they can't do anything unless her spots become infected. Thankyou

Any advice with sudocrem on chicken pox. It helps her nappy area. Could I use it on the rest of her spots? She also has one on her lower lash line. Could this cause a problem? Sorry about all the questions. My docs arnt helping at all
