Anyone had any experience of this?

My DD 1.5 yrs had just start to develop CP, mainly in those areas...blisters starting to appear and I'm thinking surely they will pop on the soles of her feet and be super painful, ditto nappy on the bottom - anyone got any experience on this at all?

Any advice appreciated!

are you sure its chicken pox? If there are blisters on hands, feet and in her mouth but not anywhere else it could be hand foot and mouth. Which would be in a way good, as the blisters are less likely to scar.

Thanks or your reply :).

We had H, M & F about 6 months ago so I'm pretty sure it's not that. It was my initial thought too but it's spread to her legs and torso and looks a bit different I think.

Oh dear! But to answer your question DS was nearly three and he had blisters on his genitals and bottom but not on his feet. Hope she is feeling better soon!

Three of my children have CP at the moment. All 3 genitals are covered and my 2 youngest have them on their feet aswell. I've been covering the nappy areas with sudocrem which really seems to help. Spoke to doctor earlier who said it was fine.As for there feet I'm using bicarbonate of soda in water to dry them out quicker

DD had them in the groin. She was only 3 months so pretty oblivious. I doubt I put any cream on. Also in her eyes which was more worrisome but no harm done. Soles of feet is a new one for me.

My Dd had them in her vulva. Was very sore.
Ds had them on his glans and around his foreskin. Thank goodness it doesn't last too long.
They both hd CP at 4yo.

Thanks all. Will try the baking soda to dry them out - that's an excellent idea!

So far, none on the soles of her feet have popped, which is what I was worried about. How do you get an 18 month old not to run around... not possible!

Hope all your littlies recover soon too!
