My DD (3) was badly burned about 12 months ago and had to have a skin graft on her leg for full thickness burns.
Her scar is very lumpy and the burns team have recommended steroid injections into the lumpy area to try to soften it.
I am just interested to see if anyone has had any experience of this and what the result was, DD will need a GA for the treatment so I do want to consider it carefully.
She is currently being treated with Pressure garments, Silicon and massage and although it is working they have said it could take 6-8 years of pressure garments whereas the steroid might be quicker.
Any advice appreciated.
