Mumsnetters aren't necessarily qualified to help if your child is unwell. If you have any serious medical concerns, we would urge you to consult your GP.
It does look a tiny bit swollen, and it hurts him when I touch it. We've all had bad coughs and colds, he was off some of last week with a temp, he's gone to school but still coughing. Can it be swollen glands if it's just on one side? I don't want to panic!
Yes. I had a winter bug with a massive swollen gland on the side of my neck below/behind ear..
NB I needed ABs for it. So did my sister.
Thank you, that's reassuring! It's hard with him as he soldiers on and doesn't complain - if it's still sore after school I'll make an app to get it checked.
Yep that side of his neck looks visibly swollen now
Aww. I'm sure he'll cope better with it than I did! Has he not got a sore throat? My theory is it was tonsillitis but I don't have tonsils.
No sore throat, he's not complaining at all unless I touch it
don't touch it then! :p
