Turn in newborns foot.

Dd was born with quite turned in feet - one more so than the other the pead who did her newborn check advised us to stroke the outide of her feet to coax them into the right position. This has worked with one of her feet but not the other, the HV had said to give it another month and if it is still turned then she will refer to physio (dd is 10 weeks now). Has anyones dc had this? Just wondering what the physio might entail and also if there could be problems with her standing/walking if its not corrected, or what happens if the physio can't correct the turn. Thanks

I think if the physio doesn't work they may splint it. Not sure what the physio entails as DD2s foot was corrected with the stroking.

Good luck

Thanks how often did you do the stroking. The pead initally said just to do it whenever we could remember but I am wondering of we are doing it enough. I am trying to do it for a few mins each nappy change.

Our boy had it, they both straightened out.
We did it every nappy change, whenever he was on the boob, when he was on my lap or his dad's lap.
Yes, they said the next step would be to splint it.
