15 month old dd started to be profusely sick on Friday around mid day, not tolerating even water. She must have kept some down though as nappies were wet, she wasn't dehydrated ( have read up on! ) and she kept wanting food, pointing at her usual cereal etc. So I have let her eat when she feels like it, no dairy though, but am not sure if this was wrong, or if I should keep doing it? She started vomiting less yesterday, but still often with food, and has had some just seems to be going on a bit! Any advice welcome!

My ds has just come over 5 days of d+v it's awful isn't it? He's 17 months so around ages smile

We phoned nhs 24 and were told if he ate to let him, give lots of clear liquids/weak squash and that he (and i) was highly contagious and could easily infect others / reinfect each other - it's been a fun week!

We also cut out dairy - he's only just kept down 3 oz of milk today without bringing everything back up.

Also vaseline for the bum because it will end up in some mess sad

I really hope it passes quickly for you, this week has been one of my worst!

Also if she does start shoeing signs of dehydration dioralyte is really good for helping - if she won't drink it try a syringe smile thank god ds didn't get that bad but dd did a few years ago she ended up with 4 days of syringed dioralyte and strawberry yogurt sad

Rice cakes, Farley's rusks, and those little chunky plain pancakes, found in the bread section. smile.

Thanks smile it's one of those things that sneak up on you with kids - you look for rashes and broken bones not sick in their bed grin

He's managed dry cheerios, 3 apple rice cakes and chicken in white sauce with a drop of rice today - the portions have been miniscule but he's not been sick (fingers crossed!) Or pooped all day so i think we're coming over it hmm i don't think i can taje anymore of it now!
