My nearly 6 month old is having a real trouble pooing. She started weaning nearly 2 weeks ago due to weight loss and has been fine with her bowel movements up until 4 days ago and she hasn't been since. I know she trying to as she's bearing down and going red but nothing happening. On the changing mat a couple times today shes had her legs up and really strained and you can see her little anus kind of getting bigger as if to push something out. She's managed to squeeze a tiny bit out tonight but it got stuck and I had to get the sticking out bit off with a baby wipe. You can also see that there's poo there trying to come out.
She's having a good amount of fibrous food and is still having a lot of breast feeds. Today I've reduced her solids and upped her milk feeds to try and help but nothing is shifting it. The poor little thing is getting a bit upset when trying to poo now as it seems really hard.
What can I do to help her. We've done tummy massage and about to have nice warm bath but I think it's got too hard to push out. Any suggestions?
Thank you
