Yep, the green ones have milk protein in, I'm afraid. DS3 preferred the orange carrot ones until he got a bit bigger, I guess as he never had the green ones!
I do think the flavour on the pink pack and the red pack is quite strong for a little one, but they are DS3's faves now. He likes the pink ones best because he can put them on his fingers like rings and eat them like that.
You're lucky! We don't get the bread on prescription here, it costs me £17 a week now as 10yo DS1 has to eat it too as he is GF due to being coeliac.
What brand have you been prescribed? After 5 years of trying every brand on the market, I can safely say that Warburton's Gluten free & Wheat free is the best, and is also dairy & soy free too.
All the others crumble into dust the minute you try to spread anything on them, and as for toasting them, HA! They crumble as you try to get them out of the toaster. Genius is particularly bad for that!
I've got some Oatley single cream & Kara coconut milk - which I mix in with her cereal. Haven't made rice pudding with either of those 2 milks yet and she loves rice pudding. Made custard with the Kara milk and she polished a huge bowl of that off
She's been given Genius white bread and I've found it okay to spread & toast and she eats it fine. Doc put on script 4 loaves. The pharmacy mis-ordered and I had 4 boxes of 8 loaves so had 32 loaves to deal with!
