Right thing to do to let a child with a temp sleep?

Or should I wake him?

Let him sleep. You can check his temp while he's sleeping if you're worried and wake him to give him meds to keep it down if necessary.

How old is he?

He's six. I feel like I should know this but fortunately it hasnt happened often yet!

yes, the DDS only ever seem to get better once they have the sense to go to bed.

Resting is the best way to allow his body to fight the infection. It's also kinder because he won't be aware of feeling poorly when he's asleep.

Just don't cover him up too much.
