stopping a nosebleed ...

my DD (11mo) is walking and active. She's had a couple of nosebleeds overnight recently and this morning's hadn't quite stopped when I got her up. (she managed to sneeze out the clot. I see from Dr Google the advice is generally the same as all ages - to sit still and pinch the nose for 10 minutes.

The question is: How do I get my DD to stay still for 10 minutes, let alone allow me to pinch her nose?

If you've been there what did you do?

Just do it for as long as you can, use distraction (book, toy,tv). Try to keep her hands occupied after it has stopped so she doesn't dislodge the clot (playdoh anyone???!!) by exploring up her nose with those lovely fingers.

you could try putting stickers on her hand that she can try to pick off, that's quite distracting
