Having a very very bad day. 3 hours sleep with new baby then 3 year old starts with vomiting bug tonight :( think its been going round at nursery. So my question is, do I attempt to keep them apart as much as poss? So don't want new baby to get it. He's breastfed so hoping that might help with immunity. So stressed and knackered, was hard enough without toddler being ill & feel so bad I can't be looking after her as got cluster feeding baby tonight :(

I would keep them apart as much as possible, air the house a lot and be scrupulous about handwashing, cleaning door handles/light switches/tap (dettol antibacterial spray can be sprayed on at regular intervals), at least this gives you a fighting chance that baby doesn't get it and you don't get it.

You just need to maintain good hygeine, hand washing etc. Tbh if baby is going yo get it not much you can do but bfeeding will help.

When my dd was 2 wks old ds2 and ds3 had a v&d bug. Ds2 got so poorly he nearly ended up in hospital. It was xmas, dp was at work and our water got cut off due to a burst pipe! I could have cried! but two week old dd didnt get it and i survived!

Fingers crossed no one else gets poorly xx
