Eczema turned into a spotty rash?

Hello
DS 2 has one patch of eczema on his inner elbow, but today it is VERY inflamed and has gone very spotty (it was just a red patch) it has also appeared on the other arm and he also has spots on the back of his neck.
He woke in the night over 7 times crying which never happens.
Could this just be his eczema flaring up or does it sound like something else?? The spots on the other arm and back of neck are new

Eczema can be a very strange thing, and can change its appearance. It is hard to judge without seeing it though. It could be an infection of the original site maybe? If your ds2 is able to you could give him piriton to help relieve any itchiness. If it doesn't go away of its own accord I would make a doctors appt on mon. My ds1 is nine now and used to suffer with his eczema and ended up on antibiotics a few times. Hope he is better soon.

Thank you, it just seems strange that overnight it has gone so much worse and appeared in new places Confused
I've not changed any soaps or washing powders ect, the spots on his neck don't even look like eczema more like heat spots. there are only 3 very red spots on his other arm, but where his normal patch of eczema is looks awful and very inflamed Sad

Go to GP as it may be infected, or you need to change treatment and have slightly higher steriod creams and heavier emollients.
