Children's health

Am I imagining it or is there something wrong with nearly 3yo DD?

Not sure if I'm reading too much into not very serious symptoms. Please can you take a look and tell me what you think.

DD1 2yr11mo is always really tired. She gets 12.5 hrs sleep a night and has a nap on her non-nursery days. She has recently become quite angry, frustrated and tearful though she may just be putting it on or going through delayed terrinble twos. She has quite a big sticky out belly that never seems to go down. She pooes once a day but it is always very loose and diarrhea like.

She has a great appetite and is normally a happy, healthy girl.

Now I've written it down it doesn't seem like much and I don't think a GP would take much notice.

I think they would listen to your concerns.

Take her to the GP It may be nothing, but if it were me, I would take her.

I too would take her to the GP. Loose stools all the time is not normal. Listen to your instincts - it doesn't mean there is anything terribly wrong but I am a true believer in trusting your instincts. If something is niggling away at you - get it looked at and then you can get it sorted.

My DS (3) poo was like that. I have IBS so thought nothing of it but was talking to NHS direct once when his poo turned white and they said I should get permanent loose stools checked out. Got referred to hospital but Dr there said possibly a food intolerance but wouldn't test unless I already knew what it was.

DS sleeps that much too. He's permanently exhausted.

I wouldn't worry too much but I would still take her to the GP.

Belly that looked like malnutrition, tiredness, lethargy and loose poos were symptoms ds2 had for coeliac. He was diagnosed at just under 2.

I'd get it checked out just to be on the safe side
