Nasty longlasting viruses going round?

My DD aged 14 started feeling poorly last Sunday lunchtime and went downhill very quickly. She has been ill all week and is no better. She has headache, limb ache, is very figgity and can't settle to anything. Is just sitting around most of the time. She doesn't look well. She does feel hot - temperature varies between 35.9 and 36.6. I know school are going to start moaning as she's now been off a week but there is no way she can go back at the moment. Do you think I should take her to the Drs if she's not improving tomorrow - I know Drs can't do anything about viruses and the GP isn't the most sympathetic in the world? I was wondering if there's anything going round that sounds like this.

I've had some sort of viral infection for a few weeks which has me very tired and lethargic with a sore throat and a fluctuating temperature. Blood tests came back as normal. I'm now just starting to feel a bit better.

Yes DS1 (11) has had something along these lines for a few weeks. Actually a small rash appeared and I now think it may have been shingles as chicken pox has been going around again.

In northants too and we have similar. It has been a couple of weeks for us, I started with a sinus headache and have been dealing with that for ages now, along with an upset tummy and lethargy, my two children have coughs and fevers, which seem to improve then go downhill again. Mum and cousin the same as me... not terribly ill, but really not alright too.
