Tired, night-sweating 4 year old

DS had dreadful struggles sleeping until his tonsils and adenoids were removed over 4 months ago. Since the operation the signs of apnoea have gone, snoring stopped, wakings stopped and he's generally been less tired.

In the last couple of weeks he's had a few episodes of awful sweating at night and has been tossing and turning. He's behaving badly and is very distracted/detached which always signifies tiredness in his case. His lymph nodes don't seem huge and he isn't snoring. Just exhausted.

I've decided to take him to the GP this week but in the meantime, any ideas?

Keep food diary, could be a food intolerance, also if it's his first term of school they are all pretty tired by now and have you just out heating on?
I would take him to GP as night sweats can mean other things.

check his time, could be an infection with fever

He seems well otherwise, active and other than being clumsy and tired he's keeping up with peers. He doesn't start school until next August.

I'll take him to the doctor though. I'm feeling quite anxious about it probably because of other stuff going no just now. Need to put my mind at rest that he's well.

I did also wonder about growth spurts - he's ravenous just now - but that doesn't explain the sweating.

sweating is a sign of fever /infection/inflammation.. check his temp am and pm for a couple of days
