DD got her first spot last tuesday, by thursday she was covered.

She is now better, all the spots have scabbed over but like i say she is covered, mostly on her face.

Can i take her out to the little park round the corner? I dont think i have ever seen another child there. I am sure she is not contagious anymore. I am prepared for some dirty looks though Grin

We have been in quarantine for nearly a month as DS got it, then we had a couple of days of normality before DD got it (for the second time!) so we are all going mad!

We do go out to our horses every afternoon, so not completely housebound, but DS naps at that time and DD likes to stay in the car reading, so not really getting out and quite honestly the kids are driving me up the wall.

I have looked up advice but it seems everywhere has different advice so not too helpful Confused

If they are all dry and scabbed over, then yes. House arrest can be declared over. Usually 5-7 days from the start, plus all dry and scabbed.

It is 5 days from the first spot so if it was last tuesday as in the 30th then yes.

Thank you :)

Last Tuesday was the 20th.

The nhs site said 5-7 days and making sure the spots are all scabbed etc and 6days before you can go on an aeroplane (not that we are) but then the local nursery say 5 days after the scabs have healed.

The nursery is being OTT. Health Protection Agency - ie the people who monitor outbreaks, says 5-6 days too, here

Fantastic, thank you.

Do you think this means she can go back to school? :o

If she seems ok in herself. You must have been going bananas being quarantined that long!! How are you going to celebrate your freedom?
