Sour explosive pop!

Hi

About 5 weeks ago DS poo changed. I put this down to teething. It has been explosive, horrific sour smell, acidic as even if I catch it ASAP will still burn. It leaks out sides and top. Even if it does not leak out sides the wetness of it speaks through. It is does not appear to gave mucas and he tends to go most days twice. However some days it can be 4 days.

He is now coming up to 11 months and has always been regular and never overly solid. He is doing baby led weaning very succesfully and eats loads which may explain the size of poo. Has a very varied diet. He us putting on weight and is happy. But after comparing his poos to his peers they just don't seem normal. Mentioned to hv and she was as helpful as a hole in the head.

Thanks

I would say teeth, but 5 weeks does seem like a long time. If he is otherwise well I wouldn't panic, but take him to the docs if you're worried.

Thanks I am going to phone the doc tomorrow as he starts nursery in a week. I am hoping just teething.

I wondered if it is worse as they will have to be the molars coming through. He has had 8 teeth since he was 6 mths!

Only other thing i can thing of is he is now on two bottles of formula morning and night. Before this all started he was still having one booby feed.

He was on SMA but the other day I switched him to Cow and Gate but that has not changed anything.

Maybe i will just have to except the daily clothes changes etc. But wonder how nursery will feel about it?
