Please help! Fleas in hair!

Possibly wrong, but what about trying some oil and a fine tooth comb? Maybe the oil would clog their legs up and not let them jump around?

Have used nit comb to get out fleas (no nits mind you) but am going to get some new flea treatments for cats / house as per other thread :)

Ah, didn't read other thread.
I have seen human fleas on one person. A very old, neglected man who came into the A+E dept I was working in. I hadn't realised they existed before then.
