Vitamins for Children

I've been giving my dd Abidec vitamin syrup since the age of one to now (four). This morning I've 'run out' of the syrup, so was wondering if to go and buy some more or not. Hopefully she gets a balanced diet!

How many of you give your dc vitamins? If you do, which ones do you swear by?

You might want to look at the recent NHS report on supplements.

I give my dc vit d during the winter months other than that they eat a varied diet and play outside a couple of hours a day so should not need supplements.

we just use the Bassets chewy ones which are suitable from age 3.

p.s. that report does say all children aged six months to five years should be given a supplement containing vitamins A, C and D. Think Bassets give A,B,C, D and E and you can also get them with Omega 3 added too

may i ask if anyone knows of chewable type vits for a 2yo? she will not take the syrup/drop ones. Found some vegetarian ones for dd2 but she is nearly 5.
