dd (18m)has had a nappy rash for a week now, really raw at the moment.
patches are bleeding and she has those pimples.
so far we are doing:
washing bum with chamomile tea and olive oil
no nappy for about an hour mornings and evenings
metanium at night
weleda calendium for the day
nappy changes every hour during the day

it very nearly cleared up a couple of days ago but now it is back with a venegance.
anything else?

Bepanthen cream is brilliant. Not sure what's in it (the fact that it's so good scares me a little), but it definitely works at preventing as well as treating nappy rash.

R U sure its nappy rash and not thrush ?

Sounds like it could be thrush - maybe take her to the doc for a diagnosis? DS gets thrush quite frequently and the only thing that fixes it is nystaform cream. If it's ordinary nappy rash I'd stick with metanium day and night.

also when my dd got nappy rash quite bad, the midwife suggested dipping a baby wipe in sudocrem to clean her with which really helped.

sudocrem seems to make it worse in our case. this morning the bum looked much better, if it isn't clear on monday gp it is.
