first teeth - brushing tips?

DS is 7mo and has his first two teeth - we used the fingertip papery things to start with but they are v expensive (and some of them seemed to have dried out in the box!) and so we've moved onto an aquafresh first baby toothbrush and aquafresh milk teeth toothpaste.

DS doesn't mind me using the brush - he usually grabs it and sucks on it enthusiastically. More sucking and swallowing than brushing of the teeth goes on...

We only use a tiny smear of the paste and sometimes I manage to get a tiny brush on the actual teeth

Is this OK? Any tips?

TIA

That's what we're doing! The initial enthusiasm wore off, so we had to come up with a tooth-brushing song (set to the tune of Rawhide) to get her in the mood. So far it seems to be working..... But it is hard to get the actual teeth (on the bottom) rather than just her tongue!

That's what I did with both of mine. It's quite trick to brush a single tooth on a wriggly baby.

When they're a whingy toddler you can pin them down and do it Grin.
