Constipation in 10 month DD - when should I worry

Hi all,

DD normally poos between 1-3 times a day, often just once. She is weaned but still has a lot of BM. She did not poo yesterday which is unusual for her. However she has not eaten much in the way of solids over past few days due to teething. She does not seem uncomfortable (well other than teething). Still no poo today....

When should I worry? When she was EBF I was happy to let her go days but not sure what is reasonable once they are weaned?

Many thanks

I found that, once on solids, if ds doesn't poo every day it usually means he's either ill or needs a bit more water. A couple of times he has got bunged up (so he'll try and go but can't).

So on occasion I have put loads of nappy cream around his bum in case it's hard to avoid discomfort when he does go. Also I encourage him to drink plenty of water and have sometimes given a bit of dried apricot in his porridge. That usually gets things going. I expect him to poo once a day (he's now 20 months)

Thanks - the poo arrived shortly after I posted! she doesn't have much water but has loads of BM...I guess she just had not eaten much for a while.
