Shaving baby's head to put on ear buddies

Have just ordered ear buddies for DD3 but am a bit freaked out at the thought of shaving behind her ears, she has fine hair that goes all the way behind them. What kind of razor should I use, did you use shaving foam or just wet the area first?

Could you not use a trimmer? You can buy small cheap battery-operated ones.

I used a new razor blade and think I did use some shampoo to make it a bit easier. Ds was about 10mths when we started using ear buddies so quite late on. They worked though. smile

Even more freaked out at thought of trimmer, partly due to DS fascination with gadgets and domestic appliances. The whole family and the rabbit would be bald within a week.
Ebb - glad they worked. Am a bit sceptical but it's worth a go.
Twonker, they are little tube things you put in the rim of the baby's ear and tape down, to correct bat ears.
I think I'll use a normal razor then.
