tummy aches

Not sure if this is a coincidence or not but since dd started school in January, I have noticed her bowel habits have changed.

Dd (5) regularly has her bowels opened every day, usually around 6 pm after school, she is like clockwork. Now, I am fully aware that faeces are not supposed to smell of roses , however dds are becoming quite offensive. After she has had her bowels opened, she complains of tummy ache, not before. This has been going on for quite a while now, and I am starting to wonder whether further investigation is needed with regards to these tummy aches. Any experiences/advice would be appreciated.

Could it be down to a change in diet?? - is she eating School lunches??

My own DD has a lot of tummy problems, thankfully mostly under control, but she is often affected badly by what she eats & even though the School Kitchens are good with her intolerances (Lactose & Additives) I find she has far less problems when I give her packed lunches -

if your worried, no harm in speaking with your GP over it though:)

Has she had a change of diet? It seems weird that she is going everyday and still complaining? Does she only complain of belly ache after she has been the toilet?

TBH I would take her to the doctors to see what they think, if it was just about the smell maybe not but as she says she has belly ache it is better off checked.

My dd used to suffer with bad belly ache's and was sent to the hospital to do blood tests ect.. but she was under review for a while but nothing abnormal came back.But it is always better to check than just worry :)

My Baby is 4 weeks old and he really struggles with belly ache. At first I thought it was colic but the infacol doesnt always work, but he does seem to have trapped wind has you can hear him farting sometimes. He had a bad poo last night which was quite watery.... and though he doesnt cry consistently he is hard to settle anywhere other than on you whilst sitting up. Any clues anyone?
