DD (7 weeks) doing weird thing when bottle feeding. Help!! Getting worried.

Its not all the time and not every feed but once every so often, DD is feeding (bottle) and all of a sudden I can't feel her breathing. I take the bottle out and sit her up and she sort of struggles for a bit then starts breathing again. Then everything is fine and she carries on feeding.

As I read this I am wondering why the fuck I haven't taken her to the doctors but as she is always ok and with everything else there is nothing wrong with her, I'm not sure that there is anything actually wrong.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

sorry that i don't have any particular answers but please do go and see your GP - it's important to double check that your DD is ok

don't worry about feeling you are wasting your time IME GP's love having the opportunity to see cute little babes in their surgery -

Go and see your GP. Don't worry about being a waste of time. BUT at 7 weeks they can discover things that they can do, and holding breath is one. Dd1 discovered that she could hold her breath, and then do a huge gasping one, at about that age.
A quick check would be does she go blue round the lips, or edges of tongue? If she's really struggling for breath then that might happen. It can be hard to tell at that age because their skin can look funny colours anyway!
